Gosh it's been a busy few days one way and another with the Jubilee but I've just got home and I just thought I would do a quick blog before heading off to France and singing for the D-Day commorations!
I need to say a big thank-you to my sound engineer Chis Gymer who has been working with me through this very busy Jubilee and D-Day period. Highly professional and a joy to work with. I've learn't from exsperiance if you want a job doing always use a professional!
Yesterday we were in Stapplehurst performing for the Yanks and Limey's Picnic in the Park event and sadly it turned a bit wet and rather cold but being British we carried on and what a great event it turned out to be! I was useing my full big rig 4 x 300 Ev speakers + my 2 little ones. It was just a shame we had to put bin bags over them just to protect them from the heavy rain. I know Ev speakers are water proth but even so I like to be extra carful with them even if the bin bags did make them sound a bit farty on bass and slap! Hats off to the organisers especily Graham Sivyer - this has got to be one of the best organised events I've ever played and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the weather will clear up for you today and Tuesday!
Today I'm just back from playing Aston Abbots's Jubilee luncheon with song from the 1950s and 60s so now I'm home doing a quick turn around for France. Chis very kindly took some photos today of me on his phone and I shall post them up on my Facebook pages so do take a look. Thanks ever-so for dropping in and I'm looking forward to singing for the Vetrons again in Arromanches on Wednesday 6th. Do keep watching and Bye for Now!
Oh before I forget Happy Birthday Joe xxx
Hello one and all and welcome to my news page. Here you can see me as my two alter egos the ever efficient secretary Prudie Jones, Evette the Spivette and plain old little me as you catch up with all that is current in my world. Regrettably unlike Prudie my spelling is quite frightful at the best of times due to my dyslexia so I shall apologise now for anything which might be shamefully mis-spelt. In the mean time I hope you find this page fun, entertaining and informative and become a regular visitor to my site.
